The Baker Perkins range of Accurist dough dividers sets the standard for consistent, sustained accuracy in the bakery industry. Over 800 machines have been sold, and the machine’s versatility through a range of more than 20 process options, combined with long-life, ensure it remains the first choice in bakeries throughout the world.
It’s easy to see why. Accurist dividers have achieved a total of over 15 million running hours during the last 22 years, bringing the benefits of continuous accuracy at high operating speeds in the world’s most demanding operating conditions, on both no-time and fermented doughs.
Key to the enduring success of the Accurist is an ability to hold accuracy to a 2.5-3.5g standard deviation on an 800g dough piece. That applies across the complete range of 3000, 5000 and 9000 Accurist machines which offer an unparalleled choice of pocket formats and outputs.
The Accurist uses a sophisticated cam profile to control the important motions, which gives the dough the maximum time to flow into the pockets for minimum dough damage and optimum accuracy.
Outputs range from a minimum 500 pieces per hour on a single pocket 3,000 machine, to a maximum 14,400 pieces per hour on a 9000 unit. The 5000 Accurist offers the most comprehensive set of formats, with a choice of pocket configurations from 2 - 8 and outputs per hour from 1500 to 12000 pieces.
The range of dough weights that can be achieved is equally impressive, varying from 55 to 1600 gram. Operation is straightforward – handwheels with digital indicators control weight adjustment and speed setting. There is an optional checkweigher feedback system: the weight control mechanism can be driven by a servo motor which adjusts pocket volume by approximately 2 g/s with the normal 4 or 5 pocket division boxes.
Over 20 other optional features enable each Accurist divider to be tailored exactly to the needs of the individual bakery.
Long life is an acknowledged strength of the Accurist. Typical operational life for components used in the 9000 range, for example, include 35,000 hours for the camshaft and top box assembly, 24,000 hours for the front plate, 18,000 hours for the ram, 16,000 hours for the dies and 10,000 hours for the knife. When replacement is eventually necessary, low-cost wear parts are easy to fit.
